Is Laser Vein Removal Painful?
The treatment can feel hot but should not be painful. The thicker and deeper the blood vessel, the more heat will be felt. You may experience slight swelling and a little bruising after the treatment, but this will subside after a few days.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
The number of sessions needed can vary. Anything from 1 to 6 sessions depending on the size and the extent of the condition, but most patients start to see a reduction in visible veins after just two or three sessions.
Face areas normally require 1-3 treatments, 4-6 weeks between treatments. For leg area allow 8-12 weeks between treatments. The thicker the blood vessel the more the treatments required.
How Long Do Results Last?
Thread veins can be eradicated permanently. However, laser treatment does not prevent new thread veins from forming.
Are There Any Side Effects?
You may experience redness, swelling and scabs may be formed in the treatment area. This may take 2 weeks for the skin to completely heal. There might be slight pigmentation in the treatment area though usually settles as skin heals.
