How long will it take for the skin to heal after CO2 laser?
Following the CO2 laser treatment, depending on your treatment, it could be between 1 to 3 weeks. During this period, the skin is susceptible and to prevent infections, the patient should follow the guidelines from our practitioner. Once the treatment is over, there is usually a burning sensation for a few days, and we suggest using sterilized ice packs if needed.
What is the CO2 laser resurfacing procedure like?
You can expect some moderate discomfort during the treatment, but the anesthetic cream applied before the procedure typically makes any discomfort tolerable.
What can I expect after my procedure?
Immediately following the procedure, you can expect a sensation similar to a sunburn, lasting several hours. You can expect peeling of dead skin from the treatment area. This is a natural exfoliation process that may last 7-14 days. The surface treated will feel rough and scabs will form and fall off after a few weeks
Is CO2 laser for the face painful?
The CO2 produces some discomfort, however we make sure our clients are satisfied during the entire procedure. The feeling that a few times is comparable to a “pins and needles” feeling.
